She began her career as Editor and Office Manager of a weekly newspaper in Waverly, Tennessee, a post she held for 10 years before moving to Lebanon, Tennessee in 1974 where she joined the staff of the city’s only newspaper.

During these 30 plus years she was involved in practically every facet of the print media, from front office to back office, in business administration, newsroom reporter and feature editor, advertising sales and management, page design and layout and circulation manager.  

After retiring briefly, but “still having the ink in her blood,” she joined the staff of Main Street Media in 2005 where she was introduced to the new adventure of publishing this specialty product – a newspaper-formatted magazine exclusively directed and dedicated to readers 50 years of age and older to “Living Fully After 50!”
